Paying with Lightning
We accept payment exclusively over the Bitcoin Lightning Network: fast, final, inexpensive, and no card data is ever entered on this site.
How it works
- Place your order. We show a Lightning invoice (a QR code and a text string beginning with lnbc).
- Scan it or tap "Open in wallet" from any Lightning-capable wallet.
- The page confirms within seconds of settlement and we email your receipt.
Rate and expiry
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Your wallet shows the bitcoin equivalent at the current rate, which is locked for 15 minutes once the invoice is created. If the invoice expires, start checkout again. Nothing is charged for an expired invoice.
Payments that arrive late
If a payment settles after an invoice has expired we still honour it, or refund it in full if the item has since sold out.
Things to know
- Lightning payments cannot be reversed by us or by your wallet once settled. Check the amount before you pay.
- Pay only the invoice shown for your order. Funds sent another way, such as an on-chain transaction to an address not given to you for that order, may not be recoverable.
- Wallet and network fees are set by your wallet and paid by you.
- We are a merchant receiving payment for goods. We do not hold, exchange or transmit funds for customers.
- Refunds are calculated in U.S. dollars and paid in bitcoin, so the number of sats may differ from what you paid.
